so my friend said very loudly to me, with a group of other history majors “yeah i’m not gonna vote bc i’m sure hillary will win”
literally all six of us looked at her and said “vote”
and she goes “ehhh, maybe i will, if i remember to”
and my friend leans in her face and was like “don’t worry. we’ll remind you. bc you need to vote.”
so yeah here’s your friendly fucking reminder that you should have ABSOLUTELY NO PEACE OF MIND and that you need to GET YOUR ASS TO THE POLLING STATION AND VOTE THIS NOVEMBER 8TH.
HOLY SH*T (You’ve Got To Vote): Rachel Bloom (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend) joins forces with Moby and Elizabeth Banks along with a choir of your favorite stars who have resorted to song because HOLY SH*T, You’ve Got To Vote!

UNDER FEDERAL LAW, ALL VOTERS WITH LIMITED ENGLISH PROFICIENCY ARE ALLOWED TO OBTAIN ASSISTANCE FROM A PERSON OF THEIR CHOICE AS LONG AS THE PERSON IS NOT AN EMPLOYER, AGENT OF THE EMPLOYER, OR AGENT OF THEIR UNION
POLL MONITORS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO WATCH YOU VOTE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES
POLL MONITORS MUST BE CERTIFIED AND YOU MAY ASK FOR CERTIFICATION AT ANY TIME
CAMPAIGNING IS NOT ALLOWED NEAR OR WITHIN A POLLING PLACE
POLICE ARE SUBJECT TO THE SAME VOTER INTIMIDATION LAWS AS EVERYONE ELSE
If you are registered, it is your Constitutional right to vote. ANYONE who says otherwise may safely be reported to the Justice Department. English proficiency is NOT a requirement to vote. Voter fraud is so statistically insignificant as to be nonexistent and there’s no point worrying about accidentally committing voter fraud because it is very difficult. If you are registered, YOU CAN VOTE. Do not let anyone tell you otherwise!
Are you living away from the address at which you are registered to vote? Are you too lazy to get off the couch on election day?
VOTE BY MAIL. DO IT. YES. NO EXCUSES.
I’ve never actually voted in person, because I’ve been in college and grad school, and I’ve never bothered to change my registration (for various reasons, including refusing to become a citizen of a state where human rights don’t seem to matter *cough* TEXAS *cough*). So, I fully endorse voting by mail. It’s so easy and painless. I have friends that do this, too, just because they don’t have time to make the trek to a polling place or wait in line.
“Wait, how do I even register? Maybe I already am registered? I don’t knowwww.”
Go here or to one of the other 5,000 websites that can help you register.
“Ughhh, but voting by mail sounds complicated. How do I do that?”
Do you know what Google is? Google is your friend. Seriously. Just type “how to vote by mail” into Google, and a nifty widget has ALL THE ANSWERS. Use the drop down menu to choose your state. Some counties will have online applications that make things easier (like I personally use the online Los Angeles County application that takes 30 seconds to fill out).
“But I’m homeless. Can I still vote?”
YES, YOU CAN. YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO VOTE. This website has all the info you need.
“Ok, I did it. What now?”
Please reblog this! Make your friends do it! Stay informed! Eat some pizza!
boosting this for my disability bros. i wasn’t able to vote in the primaries because i was having a flare-up and couldn’t stand or sit in hard chairs. like hell i’m going to let my disability keep me from voting in the general election!
Americans outside the US:
Get your overseas absentee ballot through fvap.gov – just pick your state (usually the one you lived in most recently) from the drop-down and it will tell you what to do and what the deadlines are for your state. AND DEADLINES ARE COMING UP SOON.
If we’re serious about climate change, we can’t just talk the talk, we’ve got to walk the walk and take on special interests. #VoteTogether #NotMeUs http://Vote.BernieSanders.com
Many write Florida off as a southern state but it’s not. It is more “northern” than any other place in the south. They say “The more north you go in florida the more south you get”. That is 100% true. Y’all gotta vote! There is no excuse why anyone can’t vote since we have almost 10 days to vote.
4% – only 4% and Bernie lost by .2%. Every vote mattered, some precincts were decided by coin toss! Your vote matters. If you want change you need to vote! The youth of Iowa made a huge difference! A year ago no one would have thought a it would be close race, but we need to win by a landslide!
Imagine what would have happened if more of the youth turned out? Some couldn’t (the Caucus isn’t that accessible) and some didn’t but even with just a small amount of votes we made an impact. Imagine what we can do if more of us turn out!
Get registered! Vote Sanders!
Nevada you saw what happened in Iowa, don’t let it happen again.
In Iowa there was a reason for low turn out (the Caucus was on a weeknight, in an inconvenient location, and you had to be registered democrat ahead of time).
In Nevada you can register democrat THE SAME DAY to vote Sanders and the Caucus is on a Saturday (this Saturday – check out your time and place).
While some of us may have work this Saturday, those who don’t should try to make it out. Nevada has historically had a. youth turn out rate much lower than Iowa and right now Hillary and Bernie are TIED in the polls.
